What is SEO?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) has different meaning to different people. But actually, SEO is all about using different strategies to improve your search engine ranking. This usually means using Meta tags in HTML then shift to an advanced process. And SEO is almost free to use i.e spending no money at all.

What is SEM?

SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is another part to rank your website by advertising on Search Engines. SEM works on pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. For this you have to pay money. So for SEO you have to practice hard to rank your website and for SEM you have to pay.
You can also improve traffic by using Social Media Marketing (SMM). One of the best way to generate traffic. All of the above are basically used for marketing, rank and to step away from the crowd. Before all of this, remember audience is always first. Keep focus on your audience then only use different strategies. One can make a Website, stuck after some point due to untargeted audience.

Google user interface provide the best way to reach targeted audience. For search engine the back-end is the most important part.

Every search engine uses search algorithm to provide solution for user’s problem. Generally it provides solution by shifting the problem to a data base that contain related keywords and then return the web pages/post that contains the keyword that was searched for. For a search engine the recovery of data is performed by crawler, database with the help of search algorithm. This is basically how a search engine carries the task. Different search engine uses different aspects according to their category.  The only purpose to know about Search Engine is that how can it be helpful for us.

Ranking:

Now Ranking of website is carried by a different process. It mainly depend on the time user spent on a specific website, better content, more views and many more such thing. Nobody knows about the algorithm of a search engine this is because initially many search engines rank the post according to meta tags. But due to misuse of that, many post were ranked which are worthless. So now there are many strategies considered by Search Engines to rank a particular website.
 You have to consider keywords, more backlinks, HTML tags and meta tags for to begin with. Advertising also plays an important role for SEO. This is only for that you can understand about SEO and it depend on vast number of strategies. After all this, SEO will definitely result in a high revenue for your business. It is an ongoing process.

Note: No skill is as easy as to think. Same applied here for SEO, require too much time and effort. It’s not easy to achieve, but if you work at it, you can expect to see major improvements over time.
